About Us
St. Alban's is at the heart of a residential and commercial area at the end of Thornton Heath High Street near Croydon.
A short distance from the church is Selhurst Park, the home ground of Crystal Palace football club.
Those who live and work around the church are from many different cultures and backgrounds and the congregation reflects this. St. Alban's is welcoming of everyone whether they live in the parish or further afield.
St. Alban's church was designed by Sir Ninian Comper. The church was internally refurbished in 2006. Since then the fabric of the church has been restored and new roofs have replaced those over the aisles. New boilers ensure that the church is always warm in winter.
St. Alban's has always had an Anglo-Catholic Tradition and that tradition is maintained today. Our services, teaching and common life relect this.
St. Alban's is a parish of The Society that seeks to flourish in the Church of England and in the Diocese of Southwark under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Fulham.
