About Us
A welcoming congregation, in a modern building with good facilities for all ages. Interesting modern coloured glass windows add to an encouraging atmosphere for worship. A major feature of the church and hall are the stained glass windows salvaged from the original church. These were designed by Father Norris, of Buckfast Abbey in the 1960’s, and one spectacular window depicting Christ spans both floors. The large teak cross outside is made of ships timber and was presented by the Royal Navy in 1965. All are welcome to our Morning Worhsip at 9.45am on Wednesdays and Family Eucharist, with Sunday School, at 10am on Sundays. Various groups meet in the church, including:
LADIES GUILD meets at 2.15pm every Tuesday during term time, providing an opportunity for members of the congregation and friends to meet for a chat and a cuppa, with occasional speakers.
WOMENS FELLOWSHIP meets at 2.15pm on the first Thursday of each month during term time. A friendly group, open to all.
COFFEE MORNINGS are held every month, on a Wednesday morning after the 9.45am service. The funds raised at these events have helped a number of both local and national charities, including our local St Luke’s Hospice, MacMillan Nurses, Help for Heroes, Christian Aid and our missionary friends Grace and Festo in Tanzania.
