St Bene't's Church

Welcome!  St Bene’t’s is a warm, welcoming community that meets for worship in the oldest building in Cambridge. Prayer and sacrament are at the heart of what we are about. Our main Sunday service is at 10am, and all are welcome. There are daily communion services, and the church is open every day. Visitors from around the world come to learn the history of the church, and to find stillness and peace in the midst of a busy city.

St Bene't's is a multigenerational and engaged community, including a 20s & 30s group, study groups, children's church, environmental and social justice outreach. Regular courses and retreats for theological reflection and spiritual formation are an important part of our community life.

People come to St Bene’t’s from a range of backgrounds, with different gifts and experiences, and we welcome that and rejoice in the diversity of people God calls to follow him. So we seek to be an inclusive community, and to put into practice St Benedict’s teaching that everyone must be welcomed as Christ himself.
