Act of Remembrance on Spitfire Road

Occurring
for 45 mins
Venue
Spitfire Memorial
Address
Spitfire Memorial, Spitfire Road, Roundshaw, SM6

On Monday 11th November we shall be gathering for a short service and act of remembrance at the Spitfire on Spitfire Road. We hope you will come along - arriving from 10.30 for the service at 10.45. If you would like to read the short reading or offer prayers (we will have booklets with everything written in - the more voices sharing in the service the richer the offering!) please either drop by the church and collect in advance, call or email Mother Berni (07502 411918 / [email protected]) or make yourself known when you arrive! Do spread the word and let us keep silence at 11 together.

St Paul's, Roundshaw

Welcome to our website for St Paul's Roundshaw. We celebrate Mass every Sunday morning at 8.30 and every Wednesday morning at 10.30. Most days of the week the church is open from 9.30 for a time of prayer/meditation, either led by our Vicar or  members of our congregation.  You are always welcome to join with us or simply make yourself at home for a time of quiet or a cuppa.

St Paul's Roundshaw is one of two churches within our parish, the other being St Michael's in South Beddington.    Both churches are in the modern Catholic tradition. St Michael's stands clearly and unashamedly in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, whilst St Paul's offers a somewhat less formal style of worship. Both churches have friendly congregations drawn mainly from the local communities and a number of our parishioners attend services and social activities across the two. We are active in our local community, with strong links to 3rd Beddington Scout Group and growing links with our primary and secondary schools.

Here at St Paul's we have lots happening through the week and we look forward to seeing you. On Monday's we have a lunch club for older members of our local community, Wednesdays we are open all morning with services and coffee, Thursdays we host a range of drop ins in partnership with others (currently Gary Mason drumming and once a month health drop ins), Fridays a drop in run by, with and for our whole community with advice, info, support, games, crafts, space to sit quietly and always lovely refreshements and company!

Our doors are open at both churches across the week (although not currently all day or every day) and you are welcome, whether you wish to sit quietly or join with others for prayer, worship and/or activities and chat.

For one-off special events and services, please go to the "Services and events" and "News and notices" sections (left). Select the "News stories" tab for current news and events or the "Notice sheets" tab for the weekly newsletter. Sign up to the e-mailing list (by contacting [email protected]) to receive every newsletter issue in your inbox as soon as it's published.
