If you would like to be part of the tending, caring and transforming the land for the well being of all creation (people, wildlife, diversity) we'd love to have you alongside to share ideas, skills and vision. As things are at present we have well tended land at the front of the church, open to all and offering place to picnic, sit and enjoy the birds, meet friends and enjoy social activities such as summer tea parties! At the rear of the church is a large meadow type space well used by children and young people (uniformed groups, children, adults and specialist groups such as those with learning disabilites) - and at times as an "overflow carpark". We are looking at options for improving the diversity of planting to encourage wildlife, to create space for growing food as well as wild play whilst being realistic we need to manage the space for shared usage and many purposes! There is a newly emerging "dead wood hedging area" to encourage wildlife and develop our eco/greening skills, a large growing bed, a pond, firepit, mud kitchen and many bug hotels. We shall publish dates when gathering as a community to tend and garden - but if you would like to be in touch sooner and come visit the land/share ideas please email or call Mother Berni - 07502 411918 [email protected]
