Thanks from the Mundens PCC and from the Rector:

Thanks to Martin, Ray, Colin and Jeremy for all the work that they have done in establishing a new protected oil tank at All Saints, as well as the immense amount of work done in the churchyard generally, especially by Colin and Ray.

And thanks from FOSM and St Catherine’s:

Thank you to all who supported our Open Gardens event or the evening talk yesterday. We will bring you the financial results when we have them, but we are all grateful to the many people who helped and / or attended.

Alpha Course:

We will be joining in with the Alpha Course in Thorley on Wednesdays from 13th September. Please pray about this and especially if you can invite anyone along. We hope that we will be able to take a group from our benefice. Please speak to John for more information.

The next meeting of Braughing with Standon Mothers' Union will be on Wednesday 28 June when they will be holding their annual Strawberry Tea at 2.30pm in the Church Hall, Braughing. This is open to everyone, not just members of the Mothers’ Union. Donations to cover costs will be greatly appreciated. Please contact Diane on 01920 821130 or 07949 665365 by Sunday 25 June if you would like to come, to ensure we have enough strawberries & scones.

There will be a Bring & Buy stall with proceeds from this going to the Mothers’ Union project ‘Summer of Hope’ to raise funds to empower women around the world. If you have anything to donate to the Bring & Buy stall that will be very welcome.

Holiday Bible Club 29th August to 1st September, 10.00 until 3.00:

We are starting to assemble the team to support this year’s holiday Bible club and the publicity is going out to schools etc in the next week or so. The theme will be Jonah, linking each part of Jonah’s story with gospel stories. We’ll need people to help with leading groups, preparing refreshments and setting up and clearing craft activities. If you’d like to know more or to volunteer, please speak to Caroline. And if you know any children who might come along, please spread the word! Fliers will be available very soon.
