Rogation Sunday

Occurring
for 4 hours
Venue
St James' Church
Address
Roydon Road Stanstead Abbots Herts., SG12 8JZ

Join us for this annual Rogation Sunday service at the old Parish Church of St James and Beating the Bounds walk that will follow the service on Sunday 25th May.

At 11am, we will hold a service at St James' Church (on Roydon Road) thanking God for the land and praying for a blessing for the harvest. At approximately 12pm, we will go on a Beating the Bounds walk. Please wear sensible shoes, bring a bottle of water and perhaps a picnic too! The ‘beating the bounds’ walk, which was traditionally an opportunity to re-establish the Parish boundaries, is a fantastic opportunity to explore the extreme edges of your Parish on foot. Maps and instructions will be available. This is a led, family friendly walk, so fun for the whole family!

We look forward to welcoming you!
