All Saints' Church, Hertford

Welcome to All Saints' website.

We are a Church of England church situated in the heart of Hertford and part of the Hertford Team of Churches. Visitors and newcomers are always welcome at All Saints. Whether you're just passing through, new to the area or have lived here for many years, we'd love to meet you!

We usually meet at 10am on a Sunday for our Parish Communion Service. There is also Choral Evensong at 6.30 on Sunday evenings. On the first Sunday of the month we meet together at 10am for our all-age Family Service. You would be more than welcome to join us for any of these services and/or our weekday gatherings.

All Saints is the spiritual home for our growing congregation. We see ourselves as a family united in our desire to worship God and follow Christ. We are all on a journey of discovery together and we aim to support one another in our searching for God and for meaning in our lives.

The Parish of Hertford: All Saints is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Choral Evensong is a 45-min long peace-inducing church service in which the ‘song’ of voices sounding together in harmony is heard at the ‘even’ point between the active day and restful night, allowing listeners time for restful contemplation – Church members, agnostics and atheists alike. It is both free of charge and free of religious commitment, and its 470-year-old choral music tradition - established around 1549 - is performed live and often to a very high standard.

After 14 Years rev Jo retired on 31st October 2023. We are now working through the process of finding a new priest. At present we believe that this will take until late spring 2024.
