Bike 'n' Hike is a fun day out where you get sponsored to visit beautiful historic churches by cycling, walking, or any mode of transport on a route of your choice. Take part and help your church – half of what you raise goes to your local church!

Sign up & collect or print a specially designed Family Map for a circular route between our three churches. Route starts at any of the churches and can be done on foot or bike. Our three churches will be open for pit stops along the way! Email [email protected] for next steps.

Welcome to St John the Baptist, Great Amwell’s Parish Church.

St John the Baptist is part of the Great Amwell with St Margarets and Stanstead Abbots Benefice. Our 3 Churches Benefice covers three villages with four churches, so we are blessed to be able to provide a variety of services. St John the Baptist, beautifully set above the New River, enjoys a more formal style of worship.
