Lent Course 2024 - Your SHAPE for God's service

A Lent course designed to help EVERYONE take the next step on their faith journey.
Do you wish you could:
- discover your gifts, skills and purpose?
- live a more joyful and fruitful life?
- serve God and others more fully?
- grow more into the person that God made you to be?
Then come and take part in our Lent SHAPE course. Over 5 weeks we’ll use the SHAPE acronym to answer the following questions:
S - Spiritual Gifts – What has God gifted me to do?
H - Heart – What do I have passion for and love to do?
A - Abilities – What natural talents and skills do I have?
P - Personality – Where does my personality best suit me to serve?
E - Experiences – What have I learnt
from my past experiences?
We’d love to see new people, as well as regular attenders, on this friendly, accessible course. We’ll meet on Tuesdays - 10am at St Michael’s and 7pm at St John’s starting 27th February.

Welcome to St Michael and All Angels! 

We are an inclusive, community-focussed church, that aims to help people of all ages and backgrounds encounter God in both traditional and contemporary ways.  

St Michael's seeks to be a safe place to explore faith, ask questions, and grow as a follower of Jesus.

Our weekly pattern of worship is currently:

Sundays

09:15am Holy Communion (with choir)

- 1st Sunday of the Month -  'All Together' Communion (for all ages)

- 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month - Sunday Club for children offered during the service (with some exceptions during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays).           

Tuesdays

10:00am Said Holy Communion or Morning Prayer

Safeguarding

The parish of St Michael's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of St Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs (https://www.stalbansdiocese.org/safeguarding/).
