This is a drop off event aimed at Primary School aged children where we’ll be playing games, eating party food, crafting a take home gift for their adult and much more! Adults, this is a chance for you to finish your shopping or wrapping or just enjoy a peaceful morning before the Christmas fun begins! Tickets can be booked on our website for £10 but please contact Bella if this presents a challenge.

Sunday 22nd December @3:00pm In the Church Building

This is a really fun and interactive service for the whole family involving an instant Nativity (that anyone can join in with) and an orange with sweets and a glowstick to represent the story of who Jesus is and why he came to earth. Dressing up as a nativity character is encouraged (Mary, Joseph, angels, wise-men, stable animals, shepherds etc) and we’ll provide some props and dress up at the door. We are also delighted to be welcoming the wonderful Dehavilland Primary Sing and Sign club back to perform again this year!

This is our contemporary service aimed at students, 20s and 30s. We worship, hear a short practically based talk and then have dinner together.

A warm and bright candle lit service of Carols and contemplation. Everyone is so welcome to join us.

Tuesday 24th December @11:15pm In the Church Building

The bible, though not specific on timing, indicates Jesus was born at night and this 45minute service celebrates a tradition that symbolises the darkness giving way to light. It was the shepherds who watched their flocks at night who were among the first to receive the good news!

Wednesday 25th December @10:00am In the Church Building

Our fun and family friendly Christmas Day service gives children a chance to share what gifts they have received and also recognise and give honour to the best gift of all, Jesus to the world!

This is our weekly service and we welcome all to join with the St John’s family as we celebrate together.
It is based on Common Worship and lasts around 1 hour. We pray, sing hymns, listen to scripture and hear a short sermon.

We also have groups just for the kids and youth during the service!
