Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem and marks the beginning of Holy Week. All worshippers at our traditional service receive a pocket-sized palm cross to commemorate this special day.

Join us for the traditional Easter Sunday celebration to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church will be beautifully decorated with Spring flowers to mark the end of Lent.
Weather permitting, there will be an Easter Egg hunt after the service for children and the young at heart.

The Chiltern West Gallery Quire is a group of singers and instrumentalists who perform the distinctive songs, psalms, hymns, anthems and carols that were sung in the west galleries of English country churches in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. These traditional songs were gradually eased out and were replaced by formal choral singing. The Quire aim to bring this forgotten music back to the towns and villages where it was once sung and loved. Concert tickets cost £10 from [email protected] and may also be available on the door.

VE Day celebration

Join us for an informal afternoon as we celebrate VE Day. We'll be serving tea and cake and the church bells will be ringing, just as they did when peace was finally declared. We hope for fine weather but the event will take place inside the church in the event of rain.

Local author Zoë Jasko will be reading extracts from her delightful novel about the work and relationships of women in the WVS (Women’s Voluntary Service) during the Second World War. As an accomplished soprano, Zoë will also include some popular songs from the era.

Church Open Day

Our beautiful church is open every year for the Heritage Open Day scheme and is traditionally decorated for the Harvest Festival Service, which takes place the following day at 11.15am. Opening times for the Open Day are 10am to 5pm. We will be selling delicious home-made preserves in aid of both our church and the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance.
