Funerals

A funeral marks the end of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief and sorrow, but also to celebrate the life of a loved one. The service can include your choice of music, poems and tributes.

Everyone is entitled to a Church of England funeral even if they would not normally consider themselves ‘religious’. You do not need to be a member of our church to have your funeral in our church, or for it to be taken by the vicar at a crematorium.

When arranging a funeral, contact the Funeral Director as soon as possible, who will arrange the service at the Crematorium or in Church as well as contacting a member of clergy on your behalf.

The member of the clergy conducting the service will arrange a time to visit you at home to discuss the service and help you to make necessary preparations.

There is more information here and you are warmly invited to contact Revd Helen on 01992 479882 or by email V[email protected] if you would like to know more or just talk to someone.
