St Giles'

Welcome to St Giles Church, Wyddial. St Giles' is part of the United Benefice of Hormead with Wyddial, Anstey, Brent Pelham and Meesden. Together we make up the Quintet Churches, five parishes bisected by the river Quin in East Hertfordshire. This church srves, primarily, the community of Wyddial, though the parish extends to the outskirts of Buntingford and to the edges of Hare Street.

St Giles' Church is linked with St Nicholas' Church in Great Hormead and share the same Parochial Church Council (PCC).

Safeguarding

Our Benefice is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. Find them here: www.stalbans.anglican.org/diocese/safeguarding-contacts/
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the local PSO whose details are here: www.quintetchurches.com/safeguarding.htm or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor on

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services. If you think someone is at risk of immediate harm or in danger, call 999.
