As we prepare for our Lenten journey, we begin with the imposition of ashes, the sign of the cross.
A reflective service with bible readings and a short homily.

Our Eucharist service includes bible readings, a sermon, given by one of the clergy team, traditional hymns and prayers.

Everyone is welcome to join us and we serve tea/coffee after the service and take the opportunity to catch up with each other.

Following the expiry of the Suspension of the Patron’s right of Presentation
and following consultation with the Patrons, PCCs and the Revd Kirsty
Wainwright, is welcomed in this service which marks the appointment
of Revd Kirsty as Rector of the Benefice.

Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate as we explore the meaning behind Mothering Sunday.

The service includes bible readings, prayers, hymns and a talk by one of the ministry team. Children are welcome in our dedicated play space in the Children's room.
We don't have a communion in this service. If you would like to receive Holy Communion today, this is available at our church of St Peter's, Buntingford.

We will gather at the village green at 9.15am to process to the church with our palm crosses to remember Jesus' final entry into Jerusalem. There will be hymns and a dramatic reading of the gospel in this service.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place at St Mary the Virgin at 3.30pm following a cream tea at 3pm. This is an opportunity to look back at our church life of 2024, with questions, reflections and hopefully, plenty to be thankful for!

As part of our Holy Week preparations we will be holding a service of Night Prayer also known as Compline. It is a short said service including a psalm and a bible reading. You are very welcome to join us for this quiet, reflective service at St Mary the Virgin, Westmill on Monday 14th April, Tuesday 15th April at St Mary's, Aspenden and Wednesday 16th April at St Peter's, Buntingford.

Come and celebrate this special resurrection day with us. There will be an Easter Egg hunt in the church yard following the service.

The Art Show, previously held in the Village Hall, returns this year in St Mary the Virgin church. Supporting local artists, there will be many pictures available on sale. Refreshments available too.

As we are heading off to St Albans Cathedral for the ordinations today, we will be holding only one service of Holy Communion for our 3 churches. Further details including the venue will be confirmed later in the year.

We are delighted to be welcoming students from Haileybury School back to Westmill for another musical evening. The exact time will be confirmed in due course.

Save the date if you would like to join us for this reflective service as we remember those we love but see no longer. We will light candles in their memory and there will be hymns and prayers. The venue will be confirmed later in the year.

All are welcome to join us for a Remembrance Day Communion service. There will be a Roll of Honour as an act of Remembrance, naming those people from Westmill parish who lost their lives during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.

With Christmas just round the corner we are holding a
Christmas Fayre on Saturday 29th November,
2pm to 4pm
Stalls will include Mulled Wine and Mince Pies, Tombola, Craft, Gifts to name but a few.

A joyful service of carols and opening up the Christmas story.
All are welcome and this service is very suitable for children.

Gathering in our beautiful, ancient church as thousands have done through the centuries, we celebrate the birth of Christ. Come and join us at this special service to welcome the coming of Christmas.

We gather together for our worship at 10am,Sunday 28th December 2025. This will be the one service in the benefice.
