Safeguarding
The Parish of St. John the Baptist, Royston is committed to safeguarding as an essential part of church life. We do all we can to keep people safe in our church. We promote the welfare of children, young people and adults. We will take care to identify where a person may present a risk to others and offer support to them while taking steps to mitigate such risks.
In church, we take appropriate steps to maintain a safer environment for all and to practise fully and positively Christ’s compassion for children, young people and adults; to respond sensitively and considerately to their needs in order to keep them safe from harm.
Our livestreaming safeguarding policy ensures that no-one is filmed without their consent. During the services at Icknield Walk, only the people taking the service are filmed; the congregation and choir are not within the range of the camera.
Although safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in the Parish, Alison Bailey is our designated Safeguarding Officer and can be contacted about safeguarding matters on 01763 250637 or email [email protected]
