Your invited to come and 'pick up' a cone to decorate and turn into a tree ready for the 'Let there be Light in High Wych' switch on at 15:45 ahead of our Christmas carols at the church on Saturday 10th December, 16:00, followed by mulled wine and a visit from a certain Father Christmas!

If you're unsure what you need to do, a member of the team will be on hand to give you demonstration and guidance on what to do and your welcome to stay for a hot drink and some delicious cake.

Decorated trees should be dropped off at the church, or can be collected if needed, on Saturday 9th December and will be placed along High Wych Road so keep your eyes pealed for them!

Welcome to St James the Great, High Wych!

Our delightful and unusually small Victorian church was designed by C.E. Pritchett and consecrated in 1861. It has a number of interesting features including a round bell turret with a blue 'Bennet' clock, a richly decorated apse and a two-manual 'Father Willis' organ and is situated next to its C of E primary school, High Wych School, which was built at the same time.
