This will be the seventh time we have met at this time of the year as a positive
response to the murdered MP Jo Cox in 2016.

We use this time to make Bees using the cut offs of railway drainage pipes and balloons covered in Modroc for displaying around the village in the week prior to the Scarecrow Festival.

Everyone is welcome, just turn up on the day in old clothes, no skills are required and cake and coffee will be served.

St James The Great

Welcome to St James the Great, High Wych!

Our delightful and unusually small Victorian church was designed by C.E. Pritchett and consecrated in 1861. It has a number of interesting features including a round bell turret with a blue 'Bennet' clock, a richly decorated apse and a two-manual 'Father Willis' organ and is situated next to its C of E primary school, High Wych School, which was built at the same time.

As part of the Benefice of High Wych and Gilston with Eastwick, we have a variety of services and events at all three of our buildings, and within our communities, so check out our 'Services' and Events' page to find out what on next at St James.

We're looking to see you there!
