Today we will be looking at inspiring story of an ordinary person who has done something
extraordinary!

Brother Andrew smuggled bibles to secret Christians in eastern european communist countries where they had to keep their faith secret in the face of intense persecution. He went on to start a charity which supports persecuted Christians in over 70 countries around the world.

Come and join us as we recreate some of the secret ways he used to hide bibles and find out how ordinary people can do impossible things and go on amazing adventures with God by their side.

St Botolph's

Welcome to St Botolph's, Eastwick!

Originally, a magnificent medieval church, which early antiquarian records state was a large building with a tower, transepts and a tiled floor at the east end, by the 19th century, the building was demolished, and replaced by the current building somewhere between 1872 and 1875.

As part of the Benefice of High Wych and Gilston with Eastwick, we have a variety of services and events at all three of our buildings, and within our communities, so check out our 'Services' and Events' page to find out what on next at St Botolph's.

We're looking to see you there!

Safeguarding

The parish of Gilston with Eastwick is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs.

The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

See our Safeguarding Benefice page for our policy.
