During the Covid-19 outbreak, St Mary's, East Barnet, will now be open for personal prayer and reflection.

Choir rehearsals are returning to our church building under Covid-safe conditions. If you're interested in joining our choir, please contact Alan Danson, Director of Music.

We are launching a new youth choir at St Mary's, East Barnet.

Children at key stage 2 and 3 who would like to attend the youth choir will be introduced to a rich and enoyable curriculum there, including
reading music
voice coaching
a wide variety of settings and anthems

The youth choir will rehearse in term time at St Mary's Church on Wednesdays from 4-5pm. The youth choir will also prepare for performances at concerts and special services, including at our carol services where they will be working alongside an orchestra of professional musicians.

Barnet Collective and St Mary's, East Barnet, are working together. St Mary's hosts a food redistribution hub to pack food for delivery to the local community.

Sewing - knitting - crochet - refreshments and conversation

A new prayer walk is starting in the Brunswick Park area. If you’d like to pray sensitively for the needs of the local community, enjoy a walk, and end up at a café, then please contact the Rector for more information.

A community BBQ with fun activities - face painting, fairground games, ice cream, soft play and children's crafts.

A coffee morning will be starting in St Mary’s community halls, meeting on the first Thursday of the month from 10:30am - 12 noon.

On Sunday 1 September our All Age Messy Eucharist will be a special service for the start of the new academic year.

Come along on ‘Back to School Sunday’, and bring your school bags and pencil cases to be blessed. Teachers and parents can bring coffee cups to be blessed if they prefer!

For Black History Month, our special guest preacher at the Eucharist will be the Revd Guy Hewitt.

Following the service, Guy will give an informal talk at a bring and share lunch. There will be time for a Q&A and informal discussion.

Guy is the Director of Racial Justice for the Church of England. As well as his ordained ministry, Guy has worked at the highest level as a diplomat in the UK, Commonwealth, and at the UN.

A new group for children and young people who seek a deeper understanding of the Christian faith, and to prepare for confirmation.
