Mothers' Union

Mothers' Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide. Originally set up by Mary Sumner, a Rector's wife in Hampshire in 1876, to support mothers in raising their children, Mothers' Union builds on that early vision of giving a voice to those who are disadvantaged and bringing about positive change in society. Today, Mothers' Union partners with other charities to support families of all shapes and sizes.

Anyone can come along to one of our Mothers' Union meetings (unless it specifies members only). Donations are requested for the Mothers' Union charities. We usually meet in St Peter's Room (St Peter's Church, Sharnbrook) on the second Thursday of the month at 2:30pm. The details of our upcoming events can be found in the attachment below.

We also welcome new members to join us. Anyone who is baptized in a Christian church can be a member. Women and men, married and unmarried, parents or not can join Mothers' Union.
