About Us

St Mary’s is at the heart of the ever-changing mix that is Luton - to its front lies the Mall shopping centre, behind is the University and on all sides are centres of commercial, civic and social life. Of particular interest is the proposed development within the town centre that will provide a huge retail and residential opportunity on our doorstep. We are not ashamed of the gospel and there is no lack of opportunity for ministry in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, urban community of 180,000 people, which still looks to the Parish Church for a spiritual lead.

We set out to worship God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit – to proclaim His love from the town centre to the people of Luton – and to provide an environment in which they can respond. To this we are called, ordained and lay alike, and upon our full commitment to this depends the Mission of St Mary’s.
