Welcome to St John's Farley Hill.
We are a vibrant, warm and welcoming Anglican church at the heart of our community and are committed to:
* Going deeper into God through our worship and community life;
* Encouraging one another to become effective disciples of Jesus and to know him in a deeper and more personal way;
* Transforming the wider community in the Farley Hill estate through practical love and service, rooted in our belief that God wants the best for the people who live there.
We make no secret of the fact that St John's is a 'work in progress' but we are having a great time learning and growing together as we rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us on our journey.
Everyone, young and old and from any background, is very welcome to join us in an exciting phase of the church's life as we seek to actively grow in our faith within a community that provides everyone with a real sense of belonging and which values each and every person, despite our differences.
The parish of Farley Hill: St John the Baptist is committed to the
safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow
the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish
Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages
contain vital links and information including contacts for the
Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are
concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk
of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns
about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your
local authority Children or Adults Services.
