St Mary Magdalene

It would be a joy to welcome you to our beautiful church and grounds. Our church of St Mary Magdalene is in the small country village of Whipsnade and stands back from the green often unnoticed by visitors to the famous zoo. It is a landmark in the village and the surrounding countryside and stands some 700 feet above sea level. There has been a church here since Anglo Saxon times; the present building was started in the 16th century.

We have a service every Sunday at 9am and welcome visitors along with our regular congregation and dogs are also welcomed.

We always serve coffee after the service and its a friendly social atmosphere.

Knit and natter

Every Fourth Tuesday at for 2 hours
St Mary Magdalene

The group meets in the church for company, refreshments and shared crafts every four weeks on a Tuesday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm. Choose your project, bring it along, and one of the our many Knitters will be there to help you along your journey to achieve amazing results. The dates for July are Tuesday 2nd and Tuesday 30th and for August are Tuesday 27th.
