Hello Everyone
How quickly we have moved forward from the Christmas celebrations into the New Year. Happy New Year to you all! I hope and pray that 2024 will be a kind year to you, and your families, with happy times, good health and well-being.
Thank you for your kind Christmas greetings and messages, and for attending the Christmas services. This was a year when people returned to church and it was wonderful to celebrate the birth of Jesus together.
Nigel and I have had a peaceful time since Christmas and caught up on sleep and rest. Thank you so much Malcolm for leading last Sunday's service which gave me a much appreciated breather.
The new year has begun with storms and high winds and so many parts of the country are suffering floods and storm damage. I hope you are all safe and well and pray for those who are struggling or in distress.
This Sunday we celebrate Epiphany when in the church calendar we remember the visit of the Wise Men to Jesus, bearing gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. All symbolic gifts which draw us onwards to the Easter Story. I wonder what new year resolution you have made this year. As part of your Christian journey you may be interested to join a study home group, or an Alpha course to learn more about Jesus.
