About Us
We are a friendly, inclusive Anglo-Catholic all-age congregation set within the heart of Bedford. Sometimes known as the "cathedral of Bedfordshire", the large medieval town centre church is a key landmark in the town. We are one of the Major Churches and exercise a ministry of welcome to hundreds of visitors from far and wide each year as well as supporting the diverse community of Bedford through worship and prayer.
This beautiful church is open each day of the week between 11.00am and 3.00pm and all are most welcome.
As well as serving a diverse parish and ministering to a congregation of all ages, St Paul's is the Civic Church of Bedford Borough and the County of Bedfordshire; it is a focus for special commemorations and celebrations in the borough, county, and the wider region of the East Midlands and the East of England, as well as being a central venue for concerts, recitals and exhibitions. In term time, we host a Tuesday lunchtime concert series, with organ recitals held one Saturday a month through most of the year. We have an excellent choir of children and adults and a long-standing choral and liturgical tradition.
St Paul's is a Fairtrade church. We look forward to you visiting us; you will be made most welcome.
