Priest in Charge

for the Benefice of Harlington Tingrith and Westoning

Our Benefice is nestled in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside and has the added bonus of excellent transport links by road and train. Westoning and Tingrith have been one Benefice for many years and Harlington formally joined the Benefice some eighteen months ago, although we have all worked closely together for a number of years and are enjoying a closer relationship.

Our vision for the Benefice is:

· to be welcoming and inclusive places which serve the people in our communities

· to help people of all ages and backgrounds meet with Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him

· to see God’s Kingdom continue to be extended by reaching out and welcoming those who are unconnected with church

We are seeking someone who:

· is a spirit filled person of prayer and a faithful teacher of the bible

· is an enabler who nurtures others in their ministries and spiritual gifts

· is pastorally minded with a heart for community, outreach and engagement with both the younger and older members of our communities

· will help us in our mission to share the good news of the gospel in ways which speak into individual lives

· can develop the Benefice’s spirituality through a balance of tradition, teaching and contemporary worship

· will promote unity and collaboration across the three parishes whilst supporting their individuality

· well established groups that link with children and families and our local schools, assisted by a self-employed Families and Outreach Consultant
