Activities for children and young families at Holy Trinity Church
Toddler Church. This takes place on Thursdays from 10am to 11.15am. This is part playgroup, and part very simple worship. You are welcome to drop in occasionally or come regularly, and you will be made very welcome. It's appropriate for babies from birth right up until they go to nursery, and it's a great way for parents and carers to make friends too. Term time only.
Junior Church is our Sunday School and takes place during the 10 o'clock Sunday service. Children start with their parents in church and after about 10 minutes go out together for their own teaching, games, craft and chats. They return together at the end of the service to receive a blessing (or Communion if they've been prepared for that). It's suitable for children aged 3 up, and parents are welcome to join them until they're settled happily.
Children's corner. If you have younger children in church on Sunday mornings, you're welcome to sit with them in the children's corner, where there are books, toys, puzzles and colouring. And there are colouring boxes which they can take to the pew if you prefer.
TYG - The Youth Group. This group meets once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 6pm-7.30pm. It's for children from Year 6 up. They play games, have quizzes and discussions, and usually share pizzas during the evening.
Woodland Worship. An outdoor worship in the woods of Leverstock Green School on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 3.30pm - 4.30pm. We start with refreshments, then a short service and a nature-based activity around a camp fire before finishing with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. Children must be accompanied by their carers and dress for the weather! All welcome, not just LG School pupils.
All age services. A monthly Communion service more appropriate for children and families - often, but not always, held on the first Sunday of the month depending when festivals fall, so keep an eye on our publicity for further events and dates.Family fun. There will be other opportunities to socialise with other families - perhaps games afternoons, walks etc. If you have ideas, or would be happy to lead on something, please get in touch.
Whatever you choose to come to, we'll be delighted to see you and you will be made very welcome
