In our time of preparation and reflection before Easter, there will be a six-week Lent course based on the TV series Broken.

Set in an estate parish somewhere in the UK, it follows the life and ministry of Father Michael Kerrigan. The series portrays real life at its most gritty and raises many questions about how to follow Jesus and live faithfully when life is hard.

Over the six weeks, we will watch an episode of Broken and then use it as the basis of discussion. The idea of the course is to provide the space to pick up the themes and questions raised in the episode and to explore how we might want to answer them in the light of Jesus.

This series does contain some disturbing storylines, it reflects real life, and it is not for the faint-hearted. The series contains language that some may find offensive, and some of the themes explored include death, suicide, abuse, and violence. This series was given a 15 rating, if that helps.

This is open to anyone who wishes to come along and explore faith, morality, and the challenges of our modern life.

So come and join us for six weeks beginning Thursday 27th February at 7.30 pm here at St Barnabas Church, just off The Queens Square.

We look forward to welcoming you.
