Well worth getting up for!
We meet outside the west door of church at dawn. There's a fire burning. We light our Easter candle from the fire and enter a silent church just as the sun is rising. We light candles and start our service by candlelight, until we sing the Gloria for the first time since Ash Wednesday, turn on the lights, ring bells and rejoice in the glorious resurrection as we share the first communion of Easter. A simple breakfast follows.

We're the church on the hill in Flamstead. 

We serve a village of about 1300 people in Hertfordshire. We try hard to live our lives as Jesus taught us. On a good day we get it right. 

We are an inclusive church: this means that everyone is welcome, of every age, background, race, language, ability and sexuality. It's OK if you don't know what you believe, or are on a faith journey. We would love to welcome you too.

We love music, our rural village, our very ancient church and God.
