During the 10 am Eucharist service in Lent there will be an opportunity to discuss the Bible readings during the "sermon slot"
The 10 am service starts in the hall with the blessing of the palms. The choir and congregation follow the cross down the hill into church to commemorate Jesus’ journey down from the Mount of Olives.
The service continues with a dramatic reading of the Passion Gospel.
The service commemorates Christ's suffering and death on the cross. It consists of 14 stations, each representing a specific event that happened to Jesus on his way to Calvary.
The focus of this quiet service is on acknowledging God's presence, seeking forgiveness, and preparing for a peaceful night's rest.
