Opening
Unfortunately, due to problems with vandals etc, we are not able to keep our church open regularly.
The church is open for services on Sunday mornings between 9.00 and 11.00am (you can find someone in the hall if there's no-one in the church after 10.30) and also on Thursday mornings between 9.30 and 10.45am except on the first Thursday when there is a service at 2.30 followed by afternoon tea. You are welcome to join us at any of these events.
If you would like to visit at another time please contact the Vicar, Fr David, on 01923 241420
Getting here
St Matthew's church is in Eastbury Road, just behind Bushey railway station. It is easily accessible by road from the M1 and M25. We have parking areas behind the church and limited parking in front except during weddings and funerals.
Directions from the M1
From the M1, take the exit at Junction 5 for Watford and follow the Watford link road. There are two roundabouts on the link road. Keep to the left and use the left-hand 'by-pass' slip roads at each roundabout. This will take you past Tesco’s Store on your right. At a third roundabout, take the second exit and keep left. Turn left at the traffic lights into a one-way system in the Lower High Street (A411). Remain on the left, go past the Saab dealers and you reach Bushey Arches. This is a large railway viaduct with a roundabout threaded through it. Keep right approaching the Arches and take the second exit from the roundabout, (A4125 Eastbury Road), for Northwood. Not far into Eastbury Road, there is another railway bridge with Bushey and Oxhey station to your left. St Matthew’s is on the left, just before a speed camera.
By Train
St Matthew’s is close to Bushey & Oxhey Station, with London Midland and London Overground trains to and from Euston.
By Bus
Number 8 bus stops outside the church (Abbots Langley – Watford – Northwood).
