Bishops Hurricane appeal

Community_news

Our Bishops say, "In light of the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl on the islands of Grenada, Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and St Vincent and the Grenadines, we are deeply moved by the suffering endured by our brothers and sisters. The catastrophic winds and torrential rains have left many without homes, power or basic necessities.

As bishops of the Diocese of St Albans, we stand in solidarity with those affected and urge congregations across the Diocese to respond generously to the Hurricane Beryl Disaster Appeal. Your donations will provide crucial aid—shelter, food, medical supplies, and rebuilding materials—to those who have lost everything.

We call upon the spirit of compassion within our community to support this urgent cause, knowing that every contribution will bring hope and relief to those in desperate need. Together, we can help restore the lives and communities shattered by this storm. Thank you for your generosity and prayers.

May God’s grace guide us in our efforts to bring comfort and aid to the devastated islands.”

If you feel able, please donate to the appeal via the Diocesan website or by using the QR code on the posters available in each church.
