We gather together to celebrate with joy the appearance of God’s glory in the world through the birth of Jesus and to reflect upon the visit of the Magi (the three kings) who followed the star to pay homage to their King at his birth.
We will sing well known carols, hear stories of their journey and celebrate afterwards with mulled wine and goodies to eat.

St Mary the Virgin

Letchworth’s ancient church as we see it today, dates from the late 12th century, but the reference to a priest in the Domesday Book of 1087 suggests that the present church replaces an earlier Anglo-Saxon building.

St. Mary the Virgin is the oldest surviving building in Letchworth and its history is closely linked to Letchworth Hall Hotel, the former Manor House.

St. Mary’s was the Parish Church for the hamlet of ‘Old Letchworth’ and remained so until 1967. In February of 2022 Parish Boundaries were re-drawn and St Mary’s is now the Parish Church of Old Letchworth.
