About Us

We are an inclusive congregation, friendly and welcoming allcomers.

Our life is centred around Sunday worship. 

Children may be admitted to communion from age 7. Confirmation is offered from age 12. 

We are a congregation of 30 adults and children at 9.30am each Sunday. 

Completed in 1955 our church seats 120, more if required. The most striking feature of the building is the window with its angel faces and brightly coloured wings over the altar, which is at the west end. We have a comfortable creche/meeting room and a 2 manual organ.

St Michael's was at first a conventual district, then a separate parish, then from 1979 one of the 3 district churches in the Borehamwood team, with All Saints, Shenley Road and Holy Cross, Balmoral Drive. St Nicholas, Elstree join in 2005 when we became the Parish of Elstree & Borehamwood.

The church hall is home to a number of community groups during the week and children's parties at the weekend. 

Our Welcome Cafe was founded in 2021.
