‘JAM’ (Jesus And Me) is a St James’ group for children primarily of ages 4 to 10, which meets in the church hall from 10am until joining the congregation in the church at the time of the Peace in the Sunday morning Parish Eucharist during school term time, (except on the first Sunday in the month). Activities include games, craft and prayer, themed around the publication ‘Roots’. JAM also has special events from time to time including: production of a Nativity play, parties with games and outings.

We hold Sunday evening services twice a month at 6pm.

Evening Prayer and Benediction is on the first Sunday of each month.

Messy Church

St James’ Messy Church usually meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

What is it? It’s an event for all the family. It gives busy families the chance to get together, be a part of their local Church and find out about God – and all in a fun way.

It’s cooking, it’s games, it’s art and crafts. It’s eating together…it’s messy!

All activities are available for children and adults to do together. We begin with the messy bit, which involves activities themed on Bible stories, and then have a short celebration aimed at the young and young at heart.
