Welcome to St John's Church, Ravenhead

St John's Church opened in 1869 and has served the community of Ravenhead in a variety of ways ever since. A Memorial Hall was added to the Church in the 1920s and further development work saw the building of the St John's Community Centre, which opened in 2004.

Today, St John's serves a vital role in our vision to promote the Christian faith to our parish and beyond, while meeting the broader social, economic and personal needs of our community.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Ravenhead: St John is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Wendy Parkinson ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://www.liverpool.anglican.org/making-it-easier-parishes/safeguarding-matters/]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
