On Sunday 3 September we hosted the latest in our series of Red Kite concerts in 2023. This one featured Jordan Ashman, BBC Young Musician 2022, in a breath-taking programme of thrilling works for marimba, vibraphone and mixed percussion. The Church was full to see this gifted 19-year-old's amazing technical ability, at one point coaxing music out of a range of kitchen pots and pans.We thank Tim Jackson for the photograph of the event.The next concert is on 5 November. Trying to decide which cake to try!We had another wonderful Cafe, the fourth this year. The weather wasn't kind and we did not set up any tables outside the church, as we sometimes do. Some of our loyal supporters were away on holiday but the attendance was nevertheless very good. Many kind words were said in appreciation of the coffee, tea, cakes and cream teas.
