Lent, Holy Week & Easter 2025

LENT

Lent is a time when Christians reflect and prepare for the celebrations of Easter. Traditionally it is a time to fast, a practice which follows the example of Jesus, who fasted for forty days in the wilderness. However Lent is also a time of renewed commitment and people are encouraged to take up a new action such as giving to charity, setting aside time to study the Bible and meet with other Christians to reflect on Jesus' life and prepare for the events of Holy Week and Easter. HOLY WEEK & EASTER

Holy Week is the most important and dramatic season in the church's year. In this time through ritual, reading and prayer we seek to enter into these events. We do this because we believe that in them hope, new life and strength is given.

Join us this Holy Week to discover what cosmically important events lay behind this well trod story.  Click on the file entitled 'The Holy Week Journey' below to find out about all the services across our team of churches.
