Welcome to St Richard`s Church and Centre! We are a community hub and a friendly family church in the heart of the Lea Hall/Kitts Green area of East Birmingham. Worship has a relaxed and informal feel to it and the church family comprises people of all ages and of many ethnicities - which is very important to us. Biblical teaching is offered each week but so is love and friendship. Throughout COVID, the whole congregation continued to gather on Zoom, telephone conference line and (as allowed) in person. No one missed out because they are not IT literate and we continue to offer people the opportunity to connect with worship on Zoom and on telephone conference line if people prefer. 

In addition to worship, many community activities and groups meet every day at St Richard`s - some run by the church, some by the community. These include a nursery, after-school club, holiday club, youth group, dance school, line dance group, keep fit group, boxing club, tae kwon do class,  support group for those with mental health struggles and knitting group. We are also very pleased that two other church families have joined us - a Zambian based fellowship and a Romanian fellowship. 

We believe God loves everyone and we try to embody that love and to embrace and welcome as many people as possible to St Richard`s, to its worship and to its buildings.

St Richard`s family is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.
