Here at St Leonard’s we are committed to:
The care, nurture of and respectful pastoral ministry with all children and adults. The Safeguarding and protection of all children, young people and adults when they are vulnerable. The establishing of safe, caring communities which provide caring environment where there is a culture of informed vigilance as to the dangers of abuse.
We will carefully select and train all those with any responsibility within the church, in line with Safer Recruitment principles, as defined by relevant legislation and the Church of England Policies.
The Parish ensures that all those authorised to work with children are appropriately recruited according to Safer Recruitment practice; the parish also ensure that there is appropriate insurance cover for all activities involving children undertaken in the name of the Parish. The implement the Safeguarding Policy, its procedures and good practice are reviewed annually.
We welcome everyone, being a church which is at the heart of the community and which seeks to show the love of God by being in and part of Marston Green.
Following the retirement of our previous vicar we are currently in an Interregnum under the guidance of our Ministry Team supported by the Area Dean and other visiting clergy.
We have a regular service at 10am most Sundays, usually a service of Holy Communion but interspersed with simpler Service of the Word and occasionally Cafe Worship
