Step into a night of serene contemplation at our church, open until the final chime of midnight. Join us in a reverent vigil before the Blessed Sacrament, as we reflect on the solemnity of our Lord’s sacrifice and offer heartfelt prayers for the world He embraced. As the clock heralds midnight, we’ll observe the poignant service of Tenebrae, dimming the lights of hope one candle at a time. For those seeking solace in this sacred watch, please make your way through the Cloister entrance on Stanhope Street, and let the hush of reverence envelop you as you enter. Find your peace in St Patrick’s Chapel, a tranquil haven set apart from the hustle of life, awaiting your presence in silent solidarity. 🕯️🙏

St Alban the Martyr

Welcome to the ACNY page for the church of Saint Alban the Martyr — the Church of England parish church for all the people of Highgate, Birmingham.

We are an inclusive and diverse church with a wide variety of services and activities, some are traditional and some are modern and informal, all within the Affirming Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England. Whether it is Sung Mass, quiet contemplation or family worship, we have something for you.

We care about our community. We work with Ark St Alban’s Academy where our vicar helps the students. We help Stanhope Wellbeing Hub, Highgate Community Support Ltd and run Highgate United Food Bank. We also welcomed people who are new to this country.

Come an join us at any of our services or activities.
