Opening Times – Join us for a joyful celebration of Mass at 10am on Sunday mornings. We are following the Covid guidelines to ensure your safety and comfort. We are also working hard to open the church for more worship opportunities throughout the week. If you can’t make it in person, you can still connect with us online by clicking this link.
Accessibility – We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our church. That’s why we have made some improvements to our step-free access. You can enter the church through the gate in the railings between the church and 120 Stanhope Street. This will lead you to the cloister door, which has better lighting now. Our main church and chapels are wheelchair friendly, but please note that our chancel has steps. We also have an accessible toilet for your convenience. Hearing Aid Users – We have an induction loop; to receive sound from it, switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.
Children – Children are a blessing and a joy in our Church. We invite you and your family to join us for a fun and friendly service on Saturday’s at 5pm during term time. Choir and music – We love music and singing in our Church. They are an important part of our Sunday worship and our tradition. Our church has a wonderful acoustic that showcases the beauty of our choir and organ. You can enjoy some of the music from St Alban’s by clicking on this link. St Alban the Martyr hosts a variety of concerts and recitals throughout the year. Some are given by members of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and admission is free (with an optional retiring collection for the church). There is usually refreshments in St Patrick's room after the concerts which offers an opportunity to meet the performers and others after the concert.Eucharistic Hospitality – You are welcome to share in the communion with us if you are a faithful member of another church and take communion there.
Refreshments – We invite you to stay with us for a chat and a snack after the service on Sundays. You can find us in St Patrick’s Room, where we serve tea, coffee and biscuits.
Toilets – We have toilets for your convenience, including an accessible one for wheelchair users.
Mobile Phones – We kindly ask you to switch off your mobile phones while you are in the church for the services.
