3 Shires Festival - Barbershop Choir & Jazz Trio

Occuring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Hilda's, Warley Woods
Address
Abbey Road Smethwick, B67 5NQ, United Kingdom

We look forward to welcoming the excellent Anvil Chorus barbershop choir, alongside the up and coming jazz trio from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire , The Ligia Trio, for this special joint concert in the church hall.

The Anvil Chorus performs all over the UK, in a larger than typical size of choir than the usual Barbershop ensembles - but they still bring the same rich and varied harmonies that characterise Barbershop vocal style just on a bigger scale! They perform to a high level competing nationally as well as performing their superb arrangements for our enjoyment.

Joining them and sharing the programme will be the Ligia Jazz Trio from the Conservatoire. Pianist Nick Manz starred on the BBC Young Jazz Musician in 2022, and he is joined by Kai Chareunsy on percussion and Ben Love on double-bass. Their music is fresh, exciting and innovative, we are excited to welcome an ensemble made up of the leading lights from the jazz course at the Conservatoire.

We will have a well stocked bar - you are welcome to bring your own snacks.

£10 on the door, £8 in advance.
