Support RNIB by Saving Your Used Stamps
A huge thank you to everyone who have been saving their used stamps. We're delighted to share that we’ve now sent off our first batch to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), where these simple items are transformed into much-needed funds to support individuals living with sight loss.
How Do Used Stamps Help?
RNIB collects used stamps and sells them by weight to raise vital funds. These funds contribute to the charity's work in providing essential services, support, and resources for blind and partially sighted people across the UK. From accessible reading materials and assistive technology to emotional support and advice services, RNIB's efforts are life-changing for many.
Why Save Stamps?
Every year, millions of stamps are thrown away, but these small pieces of paper can have a big impact. Instead of discarding them, saving your used stamps is an easy and meaningful way to contribute to a worthy cause. It's a simple habit that helps the environment by reducing waste and directly supports those living with sight loss.
How You Can Help
We encourage you to continue collecting used stamps and dropping them into our collection box located in the inner church porch. Alternatively, you can hand them directly to David or Fran Ellis. When preparing your stamps, please trim them carefully, leaving about one centimetre of paper around the edge to ensure they can be processed effectively.
Your small effort can make a big difference. Together, let's turn everyday items into a powerful means of support for RNIB and help improve the lives of those facing sight loss. Thank you for your ongoing generosity!
