Big Garden Birdwatch 2025

On Sunday 26 January, we took part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch – an annual event where people across the country spend an hour counting the birds in their gardens or local areas to help monitor bird populations.

After this morning’s service, members of our congregation braved the cold, wind and rain, donned their trusty binoculars, and set out to see how many feathered friends were about on the church grounds. Despite the weather not being ideal for bird spotting, we did manage to count a grand total of two wood pigeons and one blackbird!!

It seems we weren’t the only ones hesitant about the wind and rain, but it was a lovely effort nonetheless. A big thank you to all who took part – every bird counted helps!
