St Mary's Bearwood

St Mary’s has a rich history of over 130 years serving the area of Bearwood with a prominent Victorian building in the centre of the commercial high street. Our vision is that we would be a community of people so shaped by the love Jesus has for us, that we would demonstrate that love in our words and actions so that our neighbours would know and experience God’s life- transforming love themselves. We exist to be:

Sharing God's heart for Bearwood in the heart of Bearwood

Whether you are a long time resident or new to the area you’re welcome to join us for one of our Sunday services. We gather at 9:30 for an informal family friendly service with children's groups and at 11:30 for traditional Holy Communion with hymns. Come and say hello and get to know us over refreshments which we serve between the two services from 10:30.

For all the latest information and what's on visit our website or our social media, we're on Facebook and instagram. We'd love to meet you.

The parish of Bearwood is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Church of England Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
