Meeting on four Monday evenings during Advent and beyond, we will be exploring the nativity through the four songs of the story: the Benedictus, the Magnificat, the Gloria and the Nunc Dimittis. We will be using material by Amy Scott Robinson, with plenty of tea, coffee and seasonal refreshments - and no singing experience is required!

We will meet on the following dates at the vicarage (7.30-9pm) – please sign up at the back of church or email Rev Sara ([email protected]) to indicate your interest.
Monday 27th November: Zechariah’s song (The Benedictus)
Monday 4th December: Mary’s song (The Magnificat)
Monday 18th December: The song of the angels (Gloria in Excelsis)
Monday 22nd January: Simeon’s song (Nunc Dimittis) – as we look towards Candlemas.

Smethwick Old Church

Smethwick Old Church is both an historic building and a family of Christians. Built in 1732 using money left by Dorothy Parkes, our grade-two listed parish church is the oldest building in Smethwick - closely followed by The Old Chapel pub next door! We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to share in worship, growing faith and work with our local community.
