Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 12th March onwards at 7.30pm at St Matthew’s and also at St John’s, and on Mondays at 2.00pm at St Bernard’s and 7.30pm at St Paul’s.

St Matthew

St Matthew's is a friendly and welcoming church in the 'Modern Catholic' tradition.  Our worship is centred on The Eucharist or Mass and is dignified but never stuffy. The priest wears vestments coloured according to the liturgical season, and incense is normally used on Sundays and major Feast Days.  St Matthew's is proud to be a member of 'Inclusive Church' and offers a genuinely warm and unconditional welcome to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, background, sexuality gender identity or relationship status.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mrs Judith Deverell, Tel 07845 923392 or The Church of England Birmingham Safeguarding Advisor, Tel 07342 993844. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
