Securely Single Course

Occurring
Every Friday at for 2 hours, 30 mins
Venue
St John's Harborne
Address
High Street Harborne Birmingham, B17 9PT, United Kingdom

Securely Single is a course especially for Christians who are single (whether they have always been single, or are divorced or widowed). It was written by Eleanor Jeans following conversations with single people in churches and recognising the need for such material. The course material helps single Christians discuss and address the positives and negatives of the single life and encourages all to be content in every and any circumstance (Philippians 4:11-13).

Over five sessions, the course will look at the following subjects:

Is there something wrong with me?
Who are you? Unveiling God's promises.
Is singleness a gift?
What about intimacy and celibacy?
Moving on: Making the most of being single

Space is also provided for discussion and personal reflection and each week will conclude with prayer and a challenge to think about the one thing to take away from what has been discussed.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Harborne: St John is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
